Staffing

Staff does not need to have high level of technology knowledge. Staff must be willing to learn.
  • risk takers
  • high work ethic
    • don't want to hear, "Too hard, too tired, too much work."
  • willing to collaborate with adults and students
    • helps others
    • looks to assist colleagues
    • shares ideas
    • gives away everything
  • willing to work to improve school, not just classroom
  • don't want to hear, "but"
  • want to hear, "How?"
  • willing to learn from students
Things to look for:
  • network
    • is there one?
    • who's included?
    • how is it used?
      • contributions to/learning from
  • experience
    • past projects
    • past curriculum writing
  • learning style
    • self taught?
    • taught by others always?
    • willing to ask for help?
    • willing to assist others?

Organizational Structure

Traditional or non-traditional?
Union Free???

Possibly a teacher-led school where whole staff shares administrative duties/responsibilities, or perhaps a selection of the staff function as teacher-leaders who share admin duties/responsibilities.
